Australian Leak Detection

The Original Leak Specialists

Richard “Dick” Rennick founded the first leak detection business in 1974. He has developed a world wide network of offices for the detection of hidden leaks. From swimming pool cracks to concealed plumbing systems, we use the most advanced, sophisticated electronic leak detection devices - without bashing holes in walls or digging up the deck and yard. Australian Leak Detection sets the standard for non-invasive leak detection and repair with proprietary methods and state-of-the-art technology. With extensive training, methodology and unparalleled continuing education, you are ensured that a network of highly trained Original Leak Specialists are available to every franchise location around the world.

Australian Leak Detection is part of the American Leak Detection worldwide network of leak detection franchises. The first Australian Leak Detection was opened in 1989 by John Myers serving the province of Victoria. Now there is service in the Northern Territory, Sunshine Coast, Goldcoast, and Melbourne providing more Australians the services needed to conserve water and save their property.

In early 2006, American Leak Detection merged with PlainSight Systems, resulting in a new and unrivaled Research and Development department. PlainSight was founded in 1999 by a world-class group of technologists affiliated with Yale University. With offices located throughout the United States, PlainSight has a platform of 80+ patents and filings for new product offerings focused in various vertical markets, including infrastructure services.

The scientists at PlainSight have already developed for ALD the very latest applications for quickly finding swimming pool leaks with the new LeakVue product. The PlainSight team has also designed a Lead Generation program that delivers end-user customers through the web to individual franchisee offices.

This world class technology will help ALD and its franchise offices increase their equity offering as well as reinforce ALD’s leadership position in the leak detection industry. For more information, visit PlainSight or call 203.248.8534.
